Frazer Construction Co. is a locally owned and operated general contracting company founded in 1976 by Joe Frazer. Growing up Corpus Christi, Joe knows how to build to the harsh & humid South Texas Coastal climate. His experience has set him apart from the rest of the builders in the Coastal Bend and earned him the respect of the Architects, Engineers, peers & client base of the region.
In 2021 Joe decided it was time to pass the torch and sold his company to Darren Christensen, a South Texas native. Darren relocated from San Antonio and brings a wealth of knowledge from his commercial & custom home background. A graduate from Texas A&M, Class of 2000, Darren began his construction career with Lyda Swinerton Builders in San Antonio, TX. His experiences range from hotels, large scale commercial renovations of over 1.1 million square feet, ground up retail, restaurants, medical, retail finish outs to custom hunting lodges and homes.
Since 2021 Darren has learned from Joe the tried and true construction methods, best practices & techniques that are a must for the coastal climate. With the purchase of Joe Frazer’s company, Darren was not only able to carry on the reputation, but just as importantly, bring the highest of quality subcontractor trade base that Joe spent decades molding. After all, a great general contractor is only as good as the trades he works with. Darren understood this. With much of the same proven team in place, and bringing new technologies & the highest of quality trades, the new Frazer Construction Co. is here carrying on Joe Frazer’s legacy.
